Our American based curriculum focuses on the individual child. At ISE the
teacher takes the time to understand and get to know each student to optimize his or her learning experiences. In addition to our American program, in grades 11 and 12 we offer the IB Diploma Program.

School Visits
It is recommended to call the school and arrange a scheduled appointment if you desire to meet with the Admissions Staff for any reason.
Tours are provided for families, although you are asked to make an appointment in advance whenever possible. Please report to the Main School Office.
Admissions Criteria
The International School Eastern Seaboard is primarily a college-preparatory institution. Only students who intend to seek admission to a college or university will be accepted. Students with exceptionalities will be admitted based upon the school’s ability to meet their educational needs.
Applicants are admitted and retained on the basis of their ability
to meet the academic and behavioral expectations of the school.
The Admissions Staff makes decisions in the best interest of the applicant, as well as in the interest of the specific grade level.
The right is reserved to refuse admission to any applicant who does not meet the admissions requirements. The right is also reserved to determine the placement of an accepted applicant in the grade level or subjects deemed most appropriate for the student’s success.
The Admissions Staff evaluates the following when considering an applicant for admission:
• Entrance test results.
• Academic records from a current or most recent school.
• Evaluations from a current or most recent school.
• English language proficiency. English as a Second Language (ESL) support is only available in grades 1-9. Applicants requiring ESL support in grades 10-12 will not normally be accepted.
• Presence of any learning differences, special needs, or giftedness.
• Screening with the applicant and parent/s
In accordance with its commitment to being a family school, special consideration is given to qualified siblings of currently enrolled students. Despite this consideration, there is, however, no guarantee of admission.
Entrance Tests
Entrance tests and interviews are scheduled individually throughout the year by appointment. The entrance tests are administered to all applicants in Pre-Kindergarten and above, including former ISE students returning after one or more years of absence from ISE.
Admission Decision Possibilities
Accepted: An applicant is approved for admission.
Denied: An applicant is not approved for admission. The Admissions Staff is not able to predict success for the applicant at ISE, either academically or behaviorally. A mandatory three-month waiting period is required before a second application.
The Admissions Staff will keep the original application materials. New academic records, confidential evaluation forms, and entrance tests are usually required for the second application.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Grades 11 and 12
IB is an internationally recognized and externally examined diploma program. It consists of two-year courses spread over grades 11 and 12. As a result, it is rare to accept a new student onto the IB Diploma program in grade 12. If a course schedule can be made guaranteeing the student will meet graduation requirements, the student must begin school within the first quarter of grade 12.
Guardianship
Students are required to live with at least one parent or legal guardian while enrolled at ISE. This policy is enforced beginning on the date an applicant is scheduled for entrance tests and interviews.
Admissions Process.
Step One – Submit the required ISE documents to the main ISE office.
Step Two – Set a date with the (admissions) secretary for entrance tests and an interview for the applicant.
Step Three – On the scheduled test date, it is essential to arrive on time. An Interview with the parents will follow the entrance test. A decision on acceptance, grade placement and date to start classes will be made.
Step Four - When a student is accepted, a place is offered in a specific grade level. Acceptance should be conformed by the family.
Step Five – See ISE Business office personnel regarding payment of fees.
Step Six – See ISE bookstore for uniform and student supplies.
When to Apply
ISE accepts students throughout the year for all grade levels, other than after the first quarter in grade 12.

1. Application for admission.
2. Health form including immunization records.
3. One confidential evaluation form from a current/recent school. The forms can be found on our website under admissions forms.
4. Certified copy of academic records, transcripts, and standardized tests for the past
two years. If the records are written in another language, an English translation
must be provided.
5. Copy of birth certificate.
6. Three recent photos.
7. Passport for the student and parents showing their residency visa.
Application Checklist
The following checklist will help you in preparing the required documents for submission. It is required that at least one parent accompany the applicant/s on this day. ISE application forms may be obtained from the Main Office or downloaded from the website. See the Admissions tab at www.ise.ac.th. You can submit the application packet by mailing, faxing, scanning documents, attaching them to emails, or by hand delivery.
- Completed application for admission
- Completed health form and immunization record
- Confidential teacher evaluation form from a current/recent school
- Certified copy of academic records, transcripts, and standardized test scores showing grades for your most recent two years. If written in another language, an English translation must be included.
- Copy of birth certificate
- Photos: 3 recent passport size photographs
- FOREIGN APPLICANTS should also submit the following:

- a. Photo, date of birth, passport number
- b. Date of issue and expiration
- c. Residency visa
